Do I need to enter a credit card for the free trial?

Accepted Answer

No. The 30 free days are on the Base plan and need no payment method. You add a card when you choose a paid plan, or to try PRO: 14 days free the first time, with your card entered when you start it. Cancel within the 14 days and you pay nothing.

What happens at the end of the trial?

If you don't choose a plan, the dashboard locks: instead of your pages you see the plan choice. Your data stays saved (customers, bookings, activities, sessions, team), and from that screen you export bookings and customers to CSV in one click. Choose a plan whenever you like and you pick up where you left off.

Do I have to re-enter the schedule I already have?

Accepted Answer

No, we load it for you, on any plan. Send it the way you keep it now (a spreadsheet, your phone calendar, or just the times you know by heart) and we bring it into the platform. The import comes with an onboarding call where we set up the dashboard together. Both are included, for everyone.

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with no lock-in and no penalties. Cancel in one click from the dashboard: you keep using Sealect normally until the end of the period you've paid for (month or year). Then the dashboard locks, as at the end of the trial: your data stays, and you export bookings and customers in one click. When you want to come back, choose a plan and carry on.

What happens if I switch plans?

Switch plans whenever you like from the dashboard: Base, PRO, Enterprise. The first time you move to PRO you get 14 days free (with a card): they start the day you switch and replace whatever is left of your Base trial. When you move between plans we automatically credit the difference for the period you've already paid. Custom is handled by the team case by case.

How does the online booking commission work?

It only applies to bookings paid online through Sealect, not to manual bookings (phone, walk-in, partner). Rates vary by plan: PRO 2.5%, Enterprise 0.5% (lowest commission, designed for high online volume), Custom negotiated. Payments land directly in your Stripe account; we automatically deduct our share.

When does the Enterprise plan make sense?

Enterprise is right when online booking is your primary channel. The break-even with PRO is around €11,500/month in online payments: above that threshold, Enterprise's 0.5% costs less than PRO's 2.5% even with the higher subscription. It also includes Premium badge, featured listing in Sealect carousels, a dedicated contact and a quarterly business review. Try the calculator to find your exact break-even.

Can I set different cancellation rules for each activity?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it's one of Sealect's strengths. For each offer you can configure a free cancellation window (e.g. up to 24 hours before), a partial refund percentage beyond that window (e.g. 50% up to 4 hours before) and a no-show fee. Refunds are calculated and applied automatically, just click 'cancel'.

What happens if a customer doesn't show up?

You mark them as 'no-show' with one click. If you've set a no-show fee on the offer, it's applied automatically to the refund. And you have the history: in the customer CRM you immediately see who the regular no-shows are, how much they've spent, how many times they've come.

Does my team only see what they need?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each collaborator is invited with a role: Owner (full control), Admin (manages team, prices and activities) or Staff (handles bookings and check-ins). Each one only sees the functions for their level.

Can I manage several locations or organisations with one account?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with no limit. One account can own as many schools, centres, clubs or associations as you like: each has its own plan (Base, PRO or Enterprise), team, calendar, bookings and data, fully separate. You switch between them from the dashboard in one click. A typical setup: a main location on PRO, listed on sealect.app and taking payments online, and smaller ones on Base, run with the same dashboard but without a public listing.

What's the Custom plan and when do I need it?

Custom is for multi-brand, multi-site groups, regional federations, white-label resellers, institutional partners, or setups with specific needs: API access, dedicated domain, custom SLA, tailored contract. No self-service: we talk, understand the constraints, and propose a setup that actually works. Reach out via the contact form.

How do I receive online booking payments?

Accepted Answer

Directly to your account, via Stripe Connect. Connect Stripe in a few minutes from the dashboard (requires PRO plan and approved account verification) and from that moment every online booking lands in your account automatically, on the schedule you set in Stripe. No middleman, no waiting.

Can I see my real numbers, how much I'm earning and what sells most?

Yes, on Base too: the Numbers section shows revenue, bookings, best-selling offers, completion and cancellation rates over the last 7 and 30 days. With the PRO plan you unlock longer windows (90 days and a custom period), filters by activity or single offer, and the monthly email report with how full your sessions were. You know how much you're making, from what, and when.

Can I export booking and customer data?

Yes. On the PRO plan you export bookings and customers to CSV whenever you want. And if you stop paying, you can still export them in one click from the lock screen. It's your data.

Do my customers need to download an app?

Accepted Answer

Never. Everything happens in the browser, both on computer and phone. No installs, no complicated registrations for the customer.

Does it work for sports other than surfing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Sealect is built for any water sport: surf, scuba, windsurf, kitesurf, sailing, kayak, SUP, wakeboard. If it's in the water, it works.

Is my data safe? And what if I want to delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Data is hosted in Europe and handled under the GDPR. You export bookings and customers to CSV (on PRO, or from the lock screen if you stop paying), download your profile data from your account, and can ask for your account to be deleted completely whenever you want. It's your data, and you must be able to take it with you.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The dashboard is fully responsive: manage bookings, check the calendar and mark no-shows directly from your phone, even between lessons.

Can I trust the sea-weather score if data is missing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, because we tell you when that happens. When a safety check can't run (missing data, a source that's unavailable), it's shown as exactly that, kept visibly separate from a check that ran and passed.
